Daytona Beachin’

Fashion, Travel

Izzy and I went to Daytona Beach while she was here.  We were wanting to check out a different beach than our usual Clearwater and Siesta Key favorites!  I’m always so surprised how different the two coasts can be, considering they’re only about 3 hours apart.  I love the Gulf side, I don’t think any U.S. beach will ever compare to the beautiful sand and gorgeous water.  I love the vibe of the Gulf too, it’s very clean and super laidback 🙂  So wanting to try out the Atlantic side, we thought Daytona would be a nice short trip.  Daytona is pretty cool, I believe that you can drive on the sand if you would like.  They did have an ice cream truck that drove up and down the beach with the little ice cream truck song (is there an actual name for that song??).  There was also a boardwalk with food, drinks, arcades and rides that are super cute if you have kids!  We actually had wanted to ride the ferris wheel that overlooks the ocean, but I guess it was taken down just recently?? 🙁  I think my favorite part was the Pier over the water, Joe’s Crabshack was halfway down the pier with a few other little pizza places and ice cream shops.  Past the restaurants was the end of the pier where you could go fishing or they just had some chairs you could sit and relax on 🙂  So long story short, Daytona was definitely a fun day trip to explore for a change of pace 🙂
